Understanding the Oceanography Condition in Java Sea using Hydrodynamic Simulation for Patimban Port Development

Abstract This study's purpose is to gain knowledge and information on the hydrodynamic condition in Java Sea, North Subang Region. The data was compiled from ECMWF for wind TMD tide constituent as a model generator field taken survey 2020 4 station BIG (Jakarta (3) Cirebon (1)). software developed by Deltares (DELFT3D) used simulation simulate conditions (water level current). A structured rectangular grid construct domain boundary north coast of West Province. bathymetry BATNAS (BIG) has been processed produce 100 m resolution accommodate high-resolution coastal areas, especially Patimban Port. result shows water fluctuation current movement Sea during 2020. verification that tidal phase already similar pattern, western side Sea. RMSE values stations Jakarta are 0.2, 0.04, 0.21, 0.39 with coefficient correlation 0.94, 0.91, 0.93, 0.69 Pondok Dayung, Sunda Kelapa, Kolinamil, respectively. monsoon seasonal phenomena affected study area. However, amplitude needs be tuned in, so it can fit data. necessary Port development which currently under construction.
